A great day for the Tower. First peal on the new bells, a year to the day when the bells were rung for the first time.

Church of St Mary Moseley 2012

The peal of 10 bells hung with new fittings in a new two tier bell frame. The three largest bells were part of a former chime in Greenock, Scotland.  The seven new bells were cast, profiled and tuned to match these.

4th November 2012

The St.Mary's Band plus a few friends ring for Sunday service.

A Great Week for St.Mary's Ringers.

17th-18th October 2012

That moment when all the work has been worthwhile-the first ringing of the new ring of ten. 

Over two days those involved with the project and many friends have rung the new bells. All agreed they sound fantastic. Our thanks to Taylor and Co for coming up with result which will please ringers and  the community of Moseley for centuries to come.

The First Bell to be Rung

13th OCTOBER 2012

Sharon Wall ( Chair of the Trustees) rings the third , the first bell to be roped up.

Clappers,pulleys and sliders fitted.

10th OCTOBER 2012

Work continues on the bells ,making them ready for ringing. Ceilings and floors are reinstated.

5th OCTOBER 2012

The bells are hung from the frame then the wheels and stays are fitted. One proud Trustee poses with the Wall Family Bell.

2nd OCTOBER 2012

The fitted bells are returned to Moseley ready to be installed in the tower. At this point in the project we are reliant on voluntary labour to keep costs down. Our grateful thanks to those who came forward and helped.

Bells on display at Taylor's Open Day

September 30th 2012

The new bells on display at Taylor's and Co. Sharon Wall and John Fielden stand in front of their bells.

The bells are due to be collected on 1st October and delivered to St.Mary's Church.

Arrival of the Bell Frame

AUGUST 17th - 21st 2012

A band of volunteers help Taylor's and Co. unload and begin the installation of the bell frame.
